BRIDAL FASHION PHOTO MAKEUP

This short course is an intro to makeup design for those wanting to pursue a career as a freelance makeup artist in the fields of Bridal, Fashion and Photographic makeup. It also provides an entry level to retail cosmetics and allows the makeup artist to work independently.

Topics Include

Facial Cleansing, Corrective makeup, Face, Eye and Lip shapes, Bridal, High fashion and Personal grooming makeup, Color theory, Portfolio development

Course fee:     $1,200

Hours:             8 x 6-Hour blocks

This course is delivered on a Saturday from 10am-4pm, 1 day a week for 8 weeks

RETRO CULTURAL SPFX

This course is designed for those wanting to pursue a career in Film, Television & Theatre. It allows the makeup artist to gain knowledge and expertise in specialized makeup for all entertainment media.

Topics Include

Historical makeup, Cultural makeup, Mask making, Tribal tattoos, Airbrush makeup, Injury simulation, Molding, Sculpting of Prosthetics, Hairstyling, Character makeup, Body painting.

All participants in this course have the opportunity to participate in our on set Industry work of Music clips, Short films and Corporate productions

Hours: 36 x 6-hour blocks

Kits: Makeup kit $650; SPFX Kit $250

This course is delivered 3 days a week (Mon-Wed) over 12 weeks. All participants in this course are required to have their own makeup kits and professional makeup brushes.

AIRBRUSH MAKEUP

This hands-on, intensive and comprehensive training introduces professional airbrush makeup techniques. It is aimed at both experienced makeup artists and those intending to work in makeup for Film, TV, Theatre and Fashion. This makeup application is for High definition media.

Topics Include

Airbrush tool and air supply tool, health and safety, equipment maintenance, freehand and stencil application, corrective and fashion makeup, body painting techniques.

Course fee: $950

Hours: 10 x 3-hour blocks

Kit: $475 Airbrush, Compressor and Airbrush foundation

This course is delivered 2 nights a week (Mon/Wed) over 5 weeks. All participants are required to have their own Airbrush tool kit and makeup brushes.

CREATURE EFFECTS

This course introduces the learner to the basic elements of creature design. The elements in this course allows the learner to conceptually design, sculpt, mold and create creatures in an advanced level of prosthetics, applying their skills to puppets, pull on masks, character teeth, silicone appliances, eyes, and hair punching. On completion of this course, the learner will be able to work as a Effects artist.

Topics Include

OHS, Life masks and body molds, Gypsum material and mold making, sculpting techniques, Bald caps, Ageing prosthetic makeup, Casting of teeth and eyes and body parts, Prosthetics, Airbrushing, Hair work, OHS , Product knowledge of Molding and Casting material.

Hours: 60 x 6-hour blocks
